Neutral Spliced Bleed builds (Voidling Bound meta)
The current community meta is the Neutral Spliced Bleed build: a Neutral-typed voidling whose Bleed lets it execute enemies at around half health. Everything here uses real game systems (Neutral typing, Bleed, and breeding passing traits from parent to child). What the community adds is the specific recipe and the rough odds, so treat those parts as player-reported.
What the Neutral Spliced meta is
A Neutral-typed spliced voidling deals Neutral damage, which applies Bleed. Bleed lets you execute an enemy once it drops to about 50% health, so in practice you only have to burn through the first half of its health bar. That execute is why Neutral Bleed builds are so strong right now.
Why you cannot just splice a Neutral voidling
Splicing forces you to choose a Main Element, so the Splicing Station never lets you make a Neutral voidling directly. Neutral voidlings exist in the game; you just cannot splice one on purpose, you have to breed one.
How to breed a Neutral voidling
Breeding passes a parent’s traits down to its children, so you reach Neutral by breeding instead of splicing. The recipe players use:
- Take your strong, fully built "uber" spliced voidling.
- Breed it with an un-evolved Common of the same species (ideally one with 20 in every stat).
- If the baby comes out Neutral, keep it; if not, try again.
- Breed that result back with your uber to carry over the attacks and passives you want.
Expect a fair number of attempts, not just two or three. You are aiming for Neutral on the Main Element and on both the Primary and Secondary ability at the same time, and any perks that came from other voidlings through splicing also have to be carried over by breeding. Your mileage will vary.
How Bleed works
Bleed is a Neutral damage-over-time effect: up to 5 stacks, with the fastest tick rate of any status effect, plus the execute at roughly half health. This part is straight from the game (see Bleed in the Codex elements section).
Caveats and open questions
From what players report, a few things to watch:
- Not every ability deals Bleed. Only some say Bleed explicitly in their text, so check each one.
- A Neutral baby cannot be re-spliced (splicing needs an element), so you pass stats and abilities down by breeding alone.
- A voidling will not end up Neutral on both its Primary and Secondary ability at once; one of them tends to inherit an element.
Plan your Bleed build
Lay out a Bleed-oriented build in the Splicing Simulator: pick the species, set the abilities and modules, and watch the attributes update live before you commit anything in-game. Then browse community builds for ideas.
