Nimiod

The cyclope-eyed Nimiod is often ridiculed by the scientific community for its odd appearance. Yet, this species is exceptionally intelligent and a master of camouflage. A Nimiod can easily vanish by mimicking a boulder or a luminous fungus, remaining perfectly still until unsuspecting prey drifts by. Then, it unleashes an electrical discharge, stunning its target before flying away with its freshly-caught meal. Some subspecies possess electroconductive stings at the end of their tentacles capable of puncturing and incapacitating even the largest predators. Wranglers should approach all Nimiod with meticulous caution. Their deceptive docility is a well-honed strategy, not a lack of lethality.
